Lovely little restaurant tucked away in the old town near Edinburgh Castle. You enter by going down a flight of stairs into a basement. Inside is a cosy restaurant / bar.
I visited on a Friday afternoon so it was very quiet (which was nice in itself).
Ordered a lovely glass of a USA Cab Sav, and got some tasting plates to keep my hunger away. Had some Salt and Pepper Salami, Pork Shoulder Rilletes and cubed fried venison. Ordered a bread selection to go with it which was just enough.
Decided something sweet was needed to ordered some puddings to share - chocolate mouse and warm toffee and banana terrine in deep fried cornflakes!
Can’t wait to go back! Think it would be a lot of fun in the evening for sure! Definitely recommend.
